We are currently accepting applications for residencies with a fine-arts focus during the period June–December 2026.
The Stensnäs Art residency primarily targets professional artists and cultural practitioners.
The idea or medium you work with is of less importance. What matters more is your commitment to your artistic practice and how you see the residency contributing to its development.
The residency is for those who seek time and space to test and develop an idea, write and sketch, realize a work, or engage in a project or collaboration.
We appreciate interest in, or a willingness to actively engage with, the local art scene in Småland.
If you want to exhibit, organize workshops or other types of meetings and events, we want assist you in the process.

Annual open calls are planned, with specified time periods and thematic focus.
Residencies can range from a few days to two months. Shorter and/or longer periods are considered depending on needs and demand.
We welcome artists and cultural practitioners in Sweden and abroad to apply.

Costs & Funding
During 2026, we will offer individual artists free accommodation and a studio at Stensnäs. In addition, the resident will receive a materials and subsistence grant of 2,500 SEK per week.
We are continuously working to arrange financing for our residents.
We are happy to provide a welcome letter so the artist can apply for funding themselves.
